HjulmandKaptain reduces energy consumption by more than 32% and cuts CO2 emissions significantly

"The collaboration with ReMoni on Predictive Heat Optimization has been extremely positive. We have achieved significant CO2 savings that we wouldn’t have been able to achieve otherwise. Their technology and expertise have helped us optimize our heat consumption bringing both economical and environmental benefits."

Case overview

Goal

HjulmandKaptain is a law firm with several offices around Denmark. The overall goal for the collaboration with ReMoni is to make a positive impact on the climate crisis by reducing their CO2 emission and energy consumption. To achieve their goal, they implemented ReMoni’s Predictive Heat Optimization solution in three of their offices.

Solution

ReMoni’s solution utilizes intelligent clamp-on sensors and advanced algorithms to optimize heating systems based on building data, usage patterns, and external factors affecting the building, such as weather conditions. The solution controls the building’s heating system during unoccupied periods, optimizing resources used while maintaining comfortable temperatures during working hours.

Results – Great improvements in second winter

The solution has been installed and started optimization in December 2023. Accordingly, some great results were shown already during the short period in the first winter period, but now in the second consecutive winter the results have been improved drastically.

  • Reduction in CO2 emissions: their CO2 emissions from heating were reduced by 4,5 tons. A large improvement from 2,5 the previous year.
  • Energy savings: the consumption of energy was decreased in winter of 2024-2025 by 32,8% up from 15% the year before. Again,  leading to substantial resource and cost savings.
  • Financial benefits: the implementation of ReMoni’s solution has no financial risks and at the same time reduces heating costs significantly.
  • ESG initiatives: the solution is an integral part of meeting HjulmandKaptain’s ESG initiatives, contributing actively to reduction of their Scope 2 CO2-emission.

These results exceeded HjumlandKaptain’s objectives and goals with the collaboration, and it demonstrates how Predictive Heat Optimization by ReMoni can reduce CO2-emission and energy consumption in office buildings. The collaboration is a great example of how the right application of the right technology can help environmental and climate ambitious companies like HjulmandKaptain to reduce their CO2-emission and energy consumption.
